  Options are limited for mental health or addiction in Australia. If you can afford it go overseas their are wonderful places in Thailand. Basically this is better than no help for short term care if you are really desperate but it's clear they care little for patients and all about money. Food terrible, management are disorganized and rude and couldn't care about you only your cheque book, staff are lazy.

  I came interstate for specific p.t.s.d help and more. What irritated me the most (could swear here but won t) was the total lack of the truth. I worked with a girl in admissions called Vanessa for over two months via email and phone. I was told "some works" going.on . This put it lightly !!! Think jack hammers, drills, banging, sanding, like a complete worksite. Starting at 7am. Dust everywhere was affecting not just me but all.patients. room 8 had chronic mould the nurse unit manager Karen said to "put a towel over it" where I had friends who told me this. For insurance companies that fork out $850 a day for a single room, this place is a joke !!!! They failed to have me sign papers when I was admitted and found them.later demanding I was breath analysed. I refused given I had not given consent. They really should have been picking on the people from rosewood unit, who sit down the back in the grass smoking pot, drinking etc. The food is revolting for such prices charged. You don't even get hot food at breakfast, all on offer is sugar laden cereals , canned fruit, and toast. For someone like me who can't eat a lot of carbs this is problematic but they don't care. They offer two meat dishes at dinner, forget it if you have dietary needs. That goes on deaf ears. Ramsay health is a leader in mental health for a reason not health e care. I was NOT cared for but drugged, the nurses lost my medication on the ward costing me $$$$ to replace, they are all not very smart , in fact rather dumb. This place should have been shut during renovations, and so bad I will be putting my complaints in writing to my largest Australian health insurer. WORST FINDING : a guy several years ago hanged himself in the park whilst being treated for schizophrenia . !!! Google "curumbin clinic suicide". Happened around lunch, but surprise surprise, wasn't found by staff for hours !!!! Take your mental health needs elsewhere. !!!
